HELP & FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Lithium Gas Fire Batteries are great as they are very high powered, and they would most likely have been the type supplied with your fire, but unfortunately we no longer sell them.

The main reason we no longer supply are :

• #1 we do not believe they offer the best value for money these days.
• #2 they were not very well heat insulated and only specified to operate below 100C so could quite often go wrong.
• #3 they are now (as of 2017) classed as a prohibited item by all shippers including the Royal Mail, DHL, FedEx and DPD.

This makes it almost impossible for us to send to you and, in the event of a fault, for you to send any returns back to us for refund.

The ignition sequence starts but all you hear is a mechanical noise of the valve opening. The ignition starts to spark but fails to flame. The fire sparks, flame starts but then the flame shuts off.

Are all symptoms of your Gas Fire Battery needing replacing.

Some fires (not all) will also beep to indicate that the Gas Fire Battery is getting low or not present at all.

Make sure that your fire has been serviced and cleaned as carbon and dust deposits can build up on the ignition probe, oxygen sensor and the coals/logs themselves.

This can cause prolonged ignitions to be triggered, draining the Gas Fire Battery more quickly.

Your Gas Fire Battery will also run down more quickly if you do not use the fire very often as the solenoid valve can get sticky or even corrode, requiring loosening. The valve can also wear then needs replacing.

A service from a local registered Gas Safe engineer would help solve this.

Also note that if you are using our Battery Holder solution that you try not to touch the ends of the batteries as this can increase the contact resistence and impair.

We send by Royal Mail. Orders received before 12:00am are sent the same working day, otherwise they will be sent the next working day. Delivery usually takes 2 working days.

Please note that like most businesses we are usually closed between Christmas and New Year. So, if ordering between 24th Dec and 3rd Jan your delivery will take a little longer.

During the summer months we do not always ship same day if volumes are low.

During the run up to Christmas the Royal Mail can take an additional 2-3 days to deliver, so please be patient.
